Client: London College of Fashion for the RHS Chelsea Flower Show
narrative: wabi-sabi beauty
An Artisan Retreat designed for London College of Fashion to showcase the process of eco-textile design and dye at the RHS Chelsea Flower Show.
Designed to reflect the Japanese philosophy of Wabi Sabi, which embraces the beauty of transience and imperfection, the interior of the LCF Artisan Retreat guided visitors through the natural textile dye process against a backdrop of dark wood frameworks and backlit traditional Shoji paper. The dyes are all produced from locally sourced plants and seeds.
